Elixir Lounge Opens in Astoria, Queens

Elixir Lounge is a place where everyone is welcome! It is a cozy and stylish spot for those who seek fun and quality entertainment. We will have themed nights that will make your visit more exciting, such as Mixed Up Fridays, Karaoke Wednesdays, Dragmania Saturdays, Talent Exposed Thursdays and permanent happy hour specials, Elixir will please your senses.

If I am not mistaken, this is the first lounge bar in Queens owned and operated by transgender women, and that makes me feel so proud. I’ve always wanted to own a lounge bar, I just never thought it would be in the capital of the world,
New York City! But hey, this goes to show you that anything is possible when you focus, work hard at it and believe! My best friend Lidia Jimenez and I joined forces in this venture with the purpose of creating a fun and safe spot for all. Equality must start with openness, and so we welcome everyone to our spot, LGBT, hetero and curious! Lidia is a university graduate with two professions under her arm, originally from Spain. I am originally from Mexico and attended NYU for a digital communications degree.

And I just want to say that we are very proud of our origin, but we also feel very attached to this country and the chance it has given us to feel free and accepted. Thus, we created a welcoming, cozy, safe and friendly spot where anyone would enjoy drinking, dancing and partying all night long!
