KELLY MANTLE: DON’T YOU KNOW WHO I THINK I AM?

“Mind-blowing! Hilarious! Smart! From the minute she hit the stage,
I was held captive by her beauty, her humor and her voice.” –LA Times
“She’s like Sandra Bernhard meets Toddlers & Tiaras with a dose of
Real Housewives drama thrown in for good measure.” –RealTV.com
“Kelly Mantle is a gender provocateur with a political edge that cuts
right to the heart of your funny bone.” –LA Weekly
Predicted as a front-runner in this past season of “RuPaul’s Drag
Race,” controversial performer KELLY MANTLE — the nephew of New York
Yankee’s baseball legend Mickey Mantle — makes her New York debut
with the premiere of DON’T YOU KNOW WHO I THINK I AM? July 25 & 26 at
The Laurie Beechman Theatre.
DON’T YOU KNOW WHO I THINK I AM? is an inebriated evening of hilarious
and sardonic stories mixed with live performances of original and
twisted cover songs. Always blending fantasy and reality, Kelly will
divulge stories about “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” her sordid affairs in pop
culture (like when Shia LaBeouf asked her to sign his penis), and her
intoxicated delusions of grandeur. Other highlights include hilarious
glimpses into her childhood and her relationship with Uncle Mickey
Mantle of the New York Yankees as well as her “gender management
issues” and how she feels about the “T” in LGBT. But don’t let all
these fancy descriptions fool ya! By the end of the show, you’ll
realize Kelly’s just a party girl who’s only pain is running out of
champagne.
Kelly Mantle has been a working actor, singer and comedian in
Hollywood for the past ten years with a list of credits longer than
her legs. Her early elimination from RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 6 set
the Twitterverse ablaze; she even wrote a song and released a music
video about it called “Eliminated” that made her a fan favorite.
Kelly has guest-starred on TV shows including The New Normal, Rizzoli
& Isles, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Mike & Molly, New Adventures of Old
Christine, Nip/Tuck, Will & Grace, George Lopez, and a recurring role
on NYPD Blue. Kelly was also featured on LOGO’s stand-up comedy
special, “DragTastic NYC” alongside Bianca Del Rio, Pandora Boxx,
Hedda Lettuce and Harmonica Sunbeam.
KELLY MANTLE: DON’T YOU KNOW WHO I THINK I AM? runs July 25 & 26 at
