Of Mexican, Spanish and French ancestry, Florencio, the youngest of 10 children, was born and raised in Gering, Nebraska, and from an early age found his solace in art.

“Being the youngest of 10 children, I was constantly compared to my older siblings, but through my artistic abilities I was able to come out from the shadows of my siblings and and into my own light.”

While learning to refine his artistic skills during his early education, Florencio began to learn about and fell in love with the art of the old masters: Picasso, Monet, Michaleangelo, Georgia O’Keefe, Diego Rivera, Frida Khalo, and also fell in love with the new masters of his time: Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, Patrick Nagel and dreamed of a career in art just like theirs.

A visit to the Prado Museum in Madrid while studying abroad via the University of Nebraska-Lincoln cemented his passion for art, and he dreamed of the day that his work would be on display for others to enjoy.

Florencio finally took the leap of faith and moved from Nebraska to New York City in 1999 in pursuit of those dreams. Two years later, FLORENC IOinc was born, his business dedicated to “Creating, Beautifying and Inspiring the world around him.”

Today, Florencio proudly lives and creates in Brooklyn, focusing on creating original serigraph prints of iconic imagery (like his idol Andy Warhol) as well as large-scale acrylic floral paintings on canvas (an homage to his mother and her love of flowers as well as inspired by his respect and love of Georgia O’Keefe).

Every day Florencio feels blessed to be able to live his dream and follow his passion; “Creating, Beautifying and Inspiring” the world around him through his art.

Featuring free champagne and hors d’oeuvres from 9-11 p.m. from Bamboo 52 and 123 Burger Shot Beer. DJ Javier will be spinning from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. Come early for happy hour from 3 to 9 p.m. with all beers $3 (bottle and draft!). No cover.
