The Green Room in association with New World Stages, is thrilled to present Season 7 winner of So You Think You Can Drag? Vicky Boofont (Bouffant) in the World Premiere of THE VICKY BOOFONT SHOW! Written by Joe Greene, musical direction by Wendy Feaver and direction by Garth Schilling. Special musical material written by Heidi Powers and Tom Moore.  THE VICKY BOOFONT SHOW! will open on Wednesday, February 15th at 8pm; run every Wednesday night until March 22nd at the New World Stages, 340 West 50th Street New York, New York… Off-Broadway!

THE VICKY BOOFONT SHOW! tells the story of Vicky, a recently out-of-retirement lounge singer who finds purpose, the meaning of friendship, and love – all thanks to booze!  The Vicky Boofont Show! stars Vicky Boofont, recent Season 7 winner of So You Think You Can Drag?  High hair, audience prizes, and a rotating cast of Special Guests each week!

ABOUT THE CREATIVE TEAM AND CAST

JOE GREENE/VICKY BOOFONT (Writer/Performer) has been entertaining audiences all over the country since the late 90s. After several years of retirement, he reemerged in New York City to win season 7 of So You Think You Can Drag at New World Stages. VICKY has been seen on Bravo TV’s Watch What Happens Live, NBC’s America’s Got Talent and LOGO TV’s RuPaul’s Drag Race Casting Special.

GARTH SCHILLING (Director) graduated from Marymount Manhattan College. He is an actor, producer and singer. His alter ego, Vod KaStinger, has performed in cabaret theaters across New York City, with his band and backup singers, The Martha Rays. In addition, he has performed several sold out shows at Feinstein’s/54 Below. 

WENDY FEAVER (Musical Director/Accompanist) New York: The King’s Legacy (Industry Reading); multiple cabarets (Laurie Beechman Theatre, Metropolitan Room, The Duplex). Regional: Cole (St. Vincent Summer Theatre); American Pop: A Songbook (Workshop w/ composer Michael Friedman). Wendy has a BM in musical theatre piano from Rider University, where she has also served on the staff as a vocal coach, accompanist, and music director (Spring Awakening, Lucky Stiff, Cole).  AMDA alumni.

THE VICKY BOOFONT SHOW! is being produced by The Green Room and New World Stages. Sponsorship by Tito’s Vodka and The Coney Island Brewing Co. 

Downstairs at New World Stages, The Green Room is a sleek, yet cozy hideaway in Hell’s Kitchen. Swing by for a drink with friends on your way to a show, then order another one to take with you – at New World Stages, you can bring your drink to your seat! The Green Room is open Wednesdays through Mondays from 7:00 pm through 11:00 pm, featuring a variety of libations to suit any palette.

THE VICKY BOOFONT SHOW will open on Wednesday  February 15th at 8pm and will run every Wednesday night at 8pm for 6 weeks until March 22nd. New World Stages 340 W. 50th Street, New York City.
