Congratulations to the newest LGBTQ New York bar about to open its doors with a themed boutique, Latin flair. With opulent Caribbean drinks and decadent, gorgeous Latino men behind the bar and part of the staff, this could be a fantasy come true. The owners and management are hoping their patrons will feel like they are in the midst of the Caribbean or South America, without even leaving New York. Their focus is hot men who speak both Latin and English and great DJs who play beats with a Latino and American atmosphere

For a quick insight as to what the bar is all about, we traded questions and answers with the owner…..

As new bar ownership, what are you looking most forward to?

We are looking to bring back the previous–it was Music Box–but focusing on the future bar experience of welcoming a new generation of patrons and inviting Manhattan to experience Jackson Heights like they have not experienced before. We are right above the Roosevelt Avenue/74th Street station (E, F, R, & 7 trains) and also bus depot, a quick and very attractive spot for people from Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx, and even New Jersey, looking for Latin-Spanish atmosphere. And that is what we want to give them.

How are you planning to make your bar stand out? Like our other neighboring LGBTQ bars in Jackson Heights, Queens is known for its great and friendly service, secure and safe venues, special event nights, great music and entertainment.

We are planning to stand out and get the attention of the public by creating a strong team, good looking guys with strong muscles, but also at the same time to make you feel really comfortable with them. We have a team of trained, educated and polite staff members who are able to communicate in English and Spanish. We want people to feel like they were in a part of the Caribbean or South America without leaving the NYC/NJ area.

Our focus is having the best DJs, a great Latin atmosphere, great decoration and amazing lights, video and sound all around the place.

Will you have themed nights and weekly events?

We are planning to have the bar favorites such as bingo, Karaoke, 2×1 nights. With every special holiday dates of the year, we will throw special holiday themed parties and create special drinks and shots for those events and also wear special clothing and accessories related to every special event.

How about the venue hours and Happy Hour special?

Every day, we are going to have happy hour from 5pm-10pm. We are going to have entertainers and exotic dancers all year long, So don’t miss out on the party.

What was your inspiration for opening the bar?

The inspiration when creating this project was a boutique. We want every single one of our customers to feel like they were in a Latin boutique attended for exotic guys, the decoration, the full set of sophisticated lights and the staff appearance–it’s going to make you feel this way. You will see all of this since the design of the sign, the mannequins, the walls, the lights, the staff members–a full package! Hope you all like it as much as the thought and energy was put in to build it.

Can you introduce your staff?

Our staff was handpicked. Our head bartender is Esteban from Colombia with 17 years experience working as a bartender for the LGBTQ community. He is leading an amazing group of good looking Latino guys. As the renovation continues, we already have Jose Luis, Felipe, Jhontri and Fernando. And a few other surprises yet to come, including hot looking and amazing servers at the comfortable table settings and VIP area.

For special drinks?

LA BICHOTA, LA DIVA, LYCHEE BOUTIQUE, MB ISLAND, FANTASY MULE, and QUE CHIMBA. All of them are an amazing mix between the common and the modern mixology recipes you can find out in the market. The flavor, texture, colors and garnishes are unique, so you have to try a different one every time you come to visit us. We have a lot of fruit flavors like passion fruit, lychee and mango. Just request your favorite flavors and we can prepare something really nice for you. HOPE TO SEE YOU SOON!
