Dustin, Jason & Patrick

I recently had a conversation with Dustin, Jason and Patrick — all hot, all sexy, all bright and all with brilliant futures!

DUSTIN

So how long have you been a model?
About two years now.

Dustin, how old are you? You look really young.
I’m only 19.

You are currently on “America’s Next Top Model”?
Yes, I am. It already came out.

So how did you do?
Oh, I did pretty good. It is still going on, and we already know what happened.

But you can’t tell anyone? So what do you plan to do with your career moving forward?
I’m going to pursue modeling and try to get into acting. I guess we will see where it takes me.

What made you decide that you wanted a career in modeling?
Growing up I never really honestly thought about it. Then I kind of got the opportunity to do a couple of things here and there, to sign with agencies. It took up a lot of time in my life, and I didn’t mind that, so…

Does your family support you in this career?
They are really supportive of it. Luckily. I know a lot of parents aren’t like mine, but they are definitely happy with whatever choices I make.

What do you like best about modeling?
It’s fun, and I’m just passionate about it in different ways.

Who inspired you growing up?
The person who is definitely an inspiration to me was Arnold Schwarzenegger. He worked through so many different challenges, and he showed so many people that you can accomplish dreams whether you are down or not.

How many times a week do you visit the gym?
About four or five.

How much do you weigh, and how tall are you?
I weigh 175 right now, and I’m 6’1”.

Perfect! What facet of modeling do you want to do?
I’m looking to do more commercial, editorials, that kind of modeling.

What’s the one thing that you would want to tell me that I don’t know about you?
I’m very, very determined, and I’m very persistent, and I’ll work so hard for what I hope to achieve.

Do you have a favorite model that you look up to right now?
I’m just concentrating on my own career.

What do you like best about doing a photo shoot?
I definitely try to focus on one attribute; for example, I really like my jawline. But I’m learning more and more about myself. You also get to meet a lot of people. It’s great.

What do you do for fun?
Just hang out with friends, go to the gym. I actually used to wrestle throughout high school—that would definitely be a hobby of mine.

Is there anything else that you would like to say or promote for yourself?
I’m definitely trying to get into acting.

JASON

How old are you?
24.

What made you decide to start modeling?
I was very athletic and everything else. I found it was a good way to stay motivated to keep in shape after getting out of college and being in sports. It was a continued sense of competition I guess.

So you look at modeling as a kind of a competition?
Yes.

What do you plan to do with your career?
I’m going to try to make more of a move towards acting. I enjoy the modeling aspect, and it’s a really good way to interact with fans as well. It’s become a lot more interactive with social media and is a lot more possible to relate, kind of get to know your fan base, and they can interact with you as well. That’s kind of a cool aspect of it that didn’t exist before.

What is your height and weight?
I’m about 180 pounds right now, and I’m 6’1”.

How many times do you go to the gym each week?
Probably about four or five times. I like to try to kind of mix it up so it’s not all weightlifting. I like to do a lot of different kinds of diverse workouts to keep everything motivating and not so routine.

Who inspires you?
I think the people that change more on the societal level, those are the kind of people we should really be focusing on. People that fight hunger, and people that are trying to right the wrongs we are dealing with in society. I mean, that can be from a small scale, like the person that’s doing it in the community, to a global scale. It doesn’t really matter how big the change is as long as it changes for the positive.

As you were growing up, did you ever think about being a model?
No, I was already set on being a pro athlete of sorts. It didn’t exactly pan out.

Did you have a particular sport that you liked?
I grew up playing football. I did a lot of outdoor sports like hiking, snowboarding and things like that. I’d say being outdoors was my biggest draw.

Where are you originally from?
Oregon.

What does your family think about your career choice?
They’ve always been on board and backed me on whatever I was doing. This is just kind of another extension of that.

In what direction do you see your career going?
Hopefully up, up and away. I really want to go more into the acting world and take on more of the character roles that are challenging and that people really have to work at. Somebody that doesn’t necessarily reach blockbuster, but somebody that really notices that drive behind the character and how it develops. I think that if somebody can do that, that’s when you know you’re becoming successful.

PATRICK

How old are you, Patrick?
I am 22 years old.

Where are you originally from?
Georgia.

What is your favorite thing about modeling?
The people that I’ve met so far. I have always been a people person because of my job. I’ve had a lifeguard job for five years. I really enjoyed meeting a lot of photographers, models, a lot of new agents. It’s been great.

What is your gym schedule like per week?
Recently I have been in the gym less and more just running around. I’ve been doing a lot of running, a lot of cardio. I used to go probably five times a week. I work at a gym, so it’s right there for me. It’s easy.

When you were younger did you aspire to be a model?
More of a kind of actor. I always thought through my childhood about actors. I really thought it was a great dream to have, to one day grow up and be one of them. I always thought it was out of my reach, but suddenly it’s starting to look more doable, and it’s just exciting.

Do the three of you know each other?
We have become friends recently. I did not know them before three weeks ago.

What are your stats?
Right now I weigh 180, and I am 6’2”.

Where do you see your career headed? I know you said you wanted to get into acting.
Yeah, that would all be great. I have a lot to learn. I would love to learn the industry. I would love to learn how to act and how to model, professionally. That would be great.

Is there anyone that you look up to?
I have quite a few heroes honestly. My friend’s little brother just got diagnosed with cancer. If I had to pick anybody as a real trooper, I would pick him. He’s kept a high head about it. He’s just been very positive, and he’s looking to fight it as hard as he can. Big picture wise, I’d have to say Michael Phelps. He’s had his problems; he’s had his struggles; but he still puts in the work and still keeps winning. He stayed on top no matter what was thrown at him.

So what do you do for fun?
Pretty much anything outdoors. I was never a stay-inside kind of guy. I love getting outside. Anything active.
