Ru Paul’s Drag Race Premier “Season 8”

Predictions anyone? I believe this season will be the toughest yet, as it’s filled with such captivating talent, as well as compelling beauty and an intriguing uniqueness, incomparable to seasons before.

With the 3 already extremely popular New York City contestants, Acid Betty, A colorful  creation of originality and dazzle,  Thorgy Thor, a fusion of imaginativeness, vision and ingenuity, and finally Bob the Drag Queen, a sensational humorist with a heart of gold and an unmatched desire to make people laugh, watch out world!

Although as a New Yorker I’d love for one of them to steal the crown, however, the competition is extreme this year. Naysha Lopez  from Chcago, turns it out, Naomi Smalls from California, is both sparkly and salacious, Laila McQueen, hailing from Massachusetts, seems wild and wonderful, while Kim Chi of Chicago, is impressive and flawlessly painted. Dax Exclamation Point from Georgia, is effervescently enchanting, Cyntha Lee Fontaine, appears innocently glittering, Chi Chi DeVayne, originating from Louisiana, is both beautiful and fearless, and Robbie Turner, from Washington State,  seems flashy  and unforgettable. Finally the beyond beautiful, singing with her own voice, Britney Spears look a like, only prettier, Derrick Barry comes to us straight from Las Vegas…..All are remarkable, all instinctively talented!

The world’s liveliest host, funniest personality, and thus far most popular Queen to ever grace the Ru Paul stage and the Universe of Logo, Bianca Del Rio, hosted the Premier of Season 8, Logo’s, “Ru Paul Drag Race”. The sold out crowd roared as she introduced each contestant separately, and the finally the first episode. The excitement mounted as the audience applauded, then yet another surprise…..It was announced, that Logo will be airing a new show, starring none other than the goddess himself, Ru Paul, entitled, “Pay For Play”, a TV show with a challenge

After which, Bianca reintroduced each Queen, so that they could display their talent. When Bob the Drag Queen, performed, “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”, she brought down the house, and the masses cheered for what seemed forever. The beautiful Derrick Barry came out shortly after, sang with her own voice, and rocked the house. One by one each of them showcased their creativity, leaving the congregation in awe.

Although season 7 was less impressive than Bianca’s rein, I have a strong inclination that this season will be powerful, explosive and fierce. Good job Logo!
