Spunk – DAN TOBEY & LUIS GOMEZ

The masterminds behind one of the most successful parties in New York City are celebrating the fact that you can now enjoy “the boys of Spunk” seven nights a week. Both partners in business and in life, Dan and Luis have expanded their evenings, rotated their DJs, their queens and their boys and are prepared to give all who desire a great experience.

In the midst of their busy schedule, Get Out! spoke with the two once again, and as usual found them fun, entertaining and extra enthusiastic!

What plans do you have for 2017?
We’re excited about 2017 as we kick off our fifth year of parties in Manhattan, and we’re looking forward to doing some very exciting new things. We will be expanding our line up of DJs and introducing more themed nights, like our recent Latin Night with DJ Eddie Cruz. We’re also looking forward to another summer on Fire Island, and of course recruiting the hottest men in the country to dance at our weekly events.

What DJs fill your roster for the week?
We book DJs Thursday through Sunday, and our rotations include DJ Jonny Mack, DJ David Michael, DJ Xavier Mazara, DJ Xavier Auza, DJ Brian Richards, DJ Eddie Cruz, DJ June Rodriguez and our newest addition, DJ Chelsea.

SPUNK @ Monster
Thursday night at The Monster is still our biggest SPUNK event of the week. Our main stage has a constant flow of nearly 40 dancers working the crowd into a frenzy both on and off the pole.

Honey Davenport keeps it all going with her signature combination of class and raunch. Each night at 2 a.m. we feature the “Best Asset” contest where five or six dancers do their best to impress the crowd while wearing sexy underwear from our sponsor PURE SEDUCTION. The winner takes home extra cash and often becomes the hottest ticket for the lap dance rooms shortly after. This party goes strong until 4 a.m., and we’ve seen steady growth in the number of customers each week. In 2016 we expanded our lap dance area just to keep up with demand.

Sundays @ Pieces
Sunday night Holly Dae puts her spin on SPUNK with our show at Pieces Bar in the West Village. There’s never a dull moment as she jokes her way through the night while parading hunky men on stage. Pieces has both table service while watching the guys, or you can pony up to the bar and squeeze past all the hot men in underwear. Sunday nights are a kick with the party starting at 10 and ending when the crowd realizes around 2 a.m. that they probably need to be alert for Monday morning at the office.

Every night at Fairytales
Fairytail Lounge features the men of SPUNK and ADONIS seven days a week. Of course Friday and Saturday nights are the busiest, but during the week customers can be the center of attention with 15-20 dancers to choose from. Friday night features DJ Chelsea, and Saturday our girl Holly Dae is hosting Holly’s Fantasy with about 35 dancers.

Ever thought of doing happy hour events for those wanting a little excitement after a day at the office?
Happy hour stripper parties are a tough sell. We have tried to build up week nights at Fairytail Lounge, but there are a few obstacles that always get in the way. Apparently it is essential for dancers to go to the gym to get these amazing bodies, and believe it or not many of our dancers have day jobs. In our experience, stripping tends to be a late-night event, but if that trend changes you can bet we’ll find a way to bring it to Manhattan.
