Richie Rich, the iconic fashion designer and pop culture figure, is making a dynamic return to the spotlight with several exciting projects in 2025.
At New York Fashion Week, Richie Rich unveiled his Spring/Summer 2025 collection under his revived label, Richerette. The show, held at Circo Times Square, was a vibrant homage to early 2000s camp fashion, blending nostalgia with contemporary flair. This collection marked a bold comeback for the designer, reintroducing the magic of his iconic Heatherette brand to a new generation.
Continuing his commitment to diversity and inclusion, Richie Rich announced his first ever two-day casting event in New York City, scheduled for May 17th and 18th. The casting call invites models of all genders, sizes and backgrounds, celebrating individuality and self-expression.

Hello, Richie. I’m excited about your event! What was your inspiration for it?
I really wanted to host a runway show for PRIDE, and everything I do has to be fun! I’ve always been about inclusivity. As one of the original Club Kids who was once discovered myself, this is my chance to find fresh faces outside of traditional model castings and agencies. We’re searching for big personalities, unique looks and models of all shapes, sizes and colors. We want to see everyone!
How are you incorporating the event with Pride?
We’re discovering at least 20 models who will walk in our Pride runway show, plus two models will be featured in our upcoming ad campaign — it’s going to be BOOM! Major!
Are you supporting a new clothing line?
Yes! I recently launched my new line, RICHERETTE, and the runway show will feature the RICHERETTE collection. We’re even debuting a special Pride capsule collection on the runway for the first time!
Anything accentuating Pride, as far as clothing?
Oh, yes — the looks will be colorful, eccentric, full of joy, rainbows, sparkles and all the PRIDE energy you can imagine! It’s very “Look at me!” — the true RICHERETTE aesthetic.
Who will be choosing your models and what criteria are you looking for?
I’ll be there personally, along with my team, scouting and selecting the models on site both days. We’re looking for authenticity, attitude, sparkle — people who aren’t afraid to shine!
How does one register for the event, and is it open to the public? Where will it be held?

What, aside from this, are you doing to celebrate Pride?
I celebrate PRIDE every day — through my friends, my music, my designs. And you’ll definitely catch me out at as many PRIDE events as possible…and of course, twirling at the parade!
