With limited resources but an unwavering vision, she took on every role, writing, producing, shooting, editing, and styling the entire project herself. “Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays because it’s all about breaking free, expressing yourself, and embracing creativity,” says Cherie. ‘SHADE SERVED’ is a cathartic transformation from the scared child I once was to the empowered woman I am today – blending spooky season vibes with high-energy house music.”
A fixture in the downtown NYC nightlife and music worlds, Cherie Lily first made her mark in New York City in the early 2000s with punk bands Spank and FlüRT, while also building a reputation in the city’s top fitness clubs. She went on to create her own genre, HOUSEROBICS, fusing her passion for fitness and high-energy dance music. Over the years, she has toured, written, and produced alongside rocker Andrew W.K., to whom she was married for 15 years. Now based in Chicago with her two children, Cherie continues to evolve as an artist while balancing family life with her creative vision.
