Cherie Lily returns with her most powerful release yet: the darkly cathartic single and music video “SHADE SERVED,” arriving just in time for spooky season.

Known for her fierce stage presence, bold visuals, and genre-blending dance tracks, Cherie channels raw emotion into a Halloween-ready house anthem that turns pain into empowerment. ‘SHADE SERVED’ was inspired by the experience of confronting true injustice,” she explains. “It’s darker than my previous releases because it reflects the depth of those emotions, but it also represents transformation, turning anger and pain into something powerful and creative.”

The self-produced, self-directed music video marks a milestone moment in Cherie’s career. With limited resources but an unwavering vision, she took on every role, writing, producing, shooting, editing, and styling the entire project herself. The result is a haunting, theatrical visual that pairs perfectly with the track’s house-meets-hip hop energy.

“Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays because it’s all about breaking free, expressing yourself, and embracing creativity,” says Cherie. ‘SHADE SERVED’ is a cathartic transformation from the scared child I once was to the empowered woman I am today – blending spooky season vibes with high-energy house music.”

A fixture in the downtown NYC nightlife and music worlds, Cherie Lily first made her mark in New York City in the early 2000s with punk bands Spank and FlüRT, while also building a reputation in the city’s top fitness clubs. She went on to create her own genre, HOUSEROBICS, fusing her passion for fitness and high-energy dance music. Over the years, she has toured, written, and produced alongside rocker Andrew W.K., to whom she was married for 15 years. Now based in Chicago with her two children, Cherie continues to evolve as an artist while balancing family life with her creative vision.

“SHADE SERVED” is more than just a song—it’s a statement of resilience and karmic justice wrapped in an irresistible dancefloor-ready beat. It’s designed to become a Halloween playlist staple for years to come. “I want listeners to feel validated in their anger, but also empowered to release it and trust that karma always restores balance,” Cherie says. “Their SHADE will be SERVED.”
