YUHUA HAMASAKI: HOSTING THE 6th Annual GET OUT! MAGAZINE AWARDS 2015

Get Out! magazine is excited to have as one of our hostesses for The Get Out! Magazine Awards this year,  the over-the-top, spectacular Queen Yuhua Hamasaki. She will be joining Hostess Honey Davenport and Host Alex Hermoso on June 1st at Boots and Saddle.

Since we last spoke, what have you been up to?
Still at Boots and Saddle Friday nights at 11 p.m. and Lucky Cheng’s.

What can our readers expect from our host – you – at the awards?
I’m that drag queen your mama warned you to not hang around with.

Why did you want to host the awards?
I’ve performed at the awards since it first started, and this year, it’s held at my home bar in The West Village at Boots and Saddle! Honey Davenport and I work every Friday together, and I think we’ll be a great dynamic since we know each other so well!

You are wearing a warning label. What does it say?
“Made in China.”

What makes you angry?
People that waste my time and [are] not up front. If it’s a “no,” that’s fine. Just let me know. I’m a pretty understanding person.

Is your glass half empty or half full and why?
Half full. I’m an optistmistic person and usually try to see the good in people, things and situations. But I also see reality as well and just try to make the most out of it. Not everything is perfect. It’s just all about how you handle it.

What is your biggest dream?
To get a green card!

What are your plans for Pride?
To be super gay and proud! And, oh, I’ll be in Maine!
