Wiltay’s recent cover of Men’s Health Magazine proved he really is the “Beast from The East”.
Now the pop singing sensation from Singapore is proving that he is just as good to listen to as he is to look at. His new urban pop track, “Fly High”, is out now and its urging fans to let go of their pasts and embrace the present moment.
“I get so caught up thinking about old memories, I often miss out on what’s in front of me,” he admits. “These days, I’m making a conscious effort to focus only on all the beautiful things in the present moment.”
“Fly High” is the follow-up to Wiltay’s recent urban hit, “What Are We Waiting For.” It continues the young singer’s exploration into love and relationships, but in an even more mature, sensible way. It’s a reflection of his past two years living in the states and experiencing the highs and lows of love first-hand.
“The greatest lesson I have learned is that expecting love from someone who does not love you back is like watering a dead tree. No matter how much water you put in it, it’ll never grow.”
Wiltay had his first US hit in 2014 with his WTF album. The Hollywood F.A.M.E Awards named it Best Pop Album Of The Year. It also received a Best Album nomination from Los Angeles Music Awards.
Last year, following the advice of American Idol’s Randy Jackson, Wil took his music in a more dance direction, releasing grown-up, salacious and passionate tracks that attacked infatuation from a male perspective. “It makes sense because I’m big on romance,” he says with a smirk.
Penned by Wiltay, “Fly High” was produced by Dreza and is being distributed by Yay Records.
Wiltay’s “Fly High” is available on iTunes. For more information, visit his website or follow him on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
