Best known for his single “Fade Out Lines” Producer/French Songwriter The Avener aka Tristan Casara continues to rock the scene of Deep House and Electro music.
Why The AVENER?….The name has an air of mystery to it, and actually so do you. tell us a little about yourself.
I found it in a book relating the life of the royal family in Great Britain in the 16th century. The Avener was the guy in charge of the royal horses. I thought it sounded cool and mysterious, just like you said.
I understand you are going to be touring shortly. where and when?
I have been touring quite a lot in Europe since November 2014 and will continue all through this summer. I’ll be arriving in the US mid-September, with my first US date in Austin on September 19th for the WEC championship, the 6 hours of Circuit of The Americas! Other dates will be announced soon.
What inspires your music and how would you describe Deep House music?
My inspiration for composing and producing comes from so many various sources: sometimes from my classical upbringing playing and improvising on the piano, other times from looking at something as common as beautiful scenery! For me Deep House music needs to have soul and emotion… with a cool beat.
Do you believe European music is different than that in the U.S.?
European music is very vast, as is the music in the US. If we strictly limit the comparison to dance music in general, I think there is a difference. Although with some European dance acts breaking in the US, it seems the American dance music has also evolved.
5. Who is your favorite artist or artists?
I have so many! I listen to music from Ravi Shankar, Ennio Morricone, Giorgio Moroder … to music from Daft Punk, Sam Smith… to music from many unknown musicians, singers and producers.
What is the one thing that you would want your fans to know about you?
Wow! I’m an easy going French guy who’s been making music for the past 10 years and has had quite a journey since my beginnings. I feel truly blessed with the success I am enjoying now.
If we could see inside your heart right now, what would we find?
Blood! Lol. I suppose you mean emotions. I’d say you’d find some stress with so much going on, but it’s wrapped in joy and gratitude.
Where would you like to be in 10 years?
I like to think I want to live only in the present, so I don’t project too much in the future. Composing scores for film would be cool.
What is your favorite quality about yourself ?
I am trying to grow into the best version of me.
