The 7th Annual Get Out! Awards WEDNESDAY, JUNE 1, 2016 @ BOXERS CHELSEA

This year’s dazzling and unprecedented Get Out! Awards showcases some of the most unparalleled and captivating talent ever to grace the New York nightlife stage, all under one roof. It promises to be an intoxicating evening of exhilaration and enchantment.

Each year, Get Out! magazine celebrates  the triumphs of “the best of the best” in all major categories encompassing the gay nightlife scene of New York. Although a sparkling and epic success every year, 2016 promises to be the most tantalizing thus far, so much so that I postponed a trip to London and sacrificed an Adam Ant concert to attend.

Hosted by the fabulous Honey Davenport and magnificent Brenda Dharling, and complemented by the music of DJ Steve Sidewalk and DJ JRoc with video by award-winning NYC-based independent music video director, photographer and producer Mikhail Torich, the evening’s list of celebrity guests continues to astound.

The “Peaceman,” philanthropist and  billionaire banker-turned-pop recording star Sir Ivan (“Imagine” and “Kiss all the Bullies Goodbye” feat. Taylor Dayne)  will be presenting his video, and will also be the recipient of a special award for all his donations to the gay community and his unselfish kindness to humanity. It is exceedingly rare to come across a person who contributes to causes he believes in for no other reason than because he genuinely cares.

Grammy winner Rob Fusari (aka Cary Nokey), one of the most talented and  compelling artists I have ever seen, will be owning center stage, and eventually the world. As a songwriter and producer, he has worked with Lady Gaga, Whitney Houston, Beyoncé and Will Smith, just to name a few. His stage presence is mesmerizingly magical, and I see him as one of the most creative artists alive today.

Just off a tour with O-Town, and making a special trip from LA to perform at the awards, Ricky Rebel will be singing his new single “Star.” Originally lead singer for the boy band No Authority, he was later signed to both Michael Jackson’s and Madonna’s record labels, and has toured with Britney Spears. Recently he has teamed up with world-renowned  DJ Hector Fonseca. Ricky has my heart. He’s authentic, bewitching and very relevant…and hot!

“Blush” is what you will do when you meet Wilder Daze. He will be singing his new single “Blush,” which I can’t seem to get out of my head. He is handsome, talented and a brilliant songwriter. Although I’ve never seen him perform live, I fell in love with him immediately  after our interview.

The vivacious Moses Universe, Israeli pop star and recording artist, is every man and woman’s dream come true. When he sings on stage, you feel as though he is singing just to you. He also has just released “Vortex” and a debut album, “My Prediction.” He bedazzles you with his voice, his soft tones and raw talent.

The beautiful Brielle has the whole package. She’s gorgeous, talented and very sweet. This year her single “Rocket” won an honorable mention in the International Song Writing Competition. Her latest music video “Avalanche” can be seen on YouTube. She has also just released her new song, “Ought To Be.”

T-Boy—you all know and love him—also will perform his new song “Magnificent Soul.” When T-Boy takes the stage, watch it: You are in for a treat, an experience that you will not soon forget! He’s sexy, he’s dauntless and he’s a blast! His unique showcase might shock you, but in the best way possible.

You won’t want to miss Athena, child star who by the age of 10 had already sung at the Met and danced with the NYC Ballet. She recently released her her dance track, “Lithium Injection.” She’s exciting, spirited and irresistible.

Finally, the handsome and talented  Rozetto, an up-and-coming singer, will be joining our awesome lineup. He writes his own music. Rozetto is a true artist, and someone to keep watching for his debut.

Besides our glamorous entertainers, there will be special awards given to comedian Sandra Bernhard; philanthropist and pop artist Sir Ivan; drag icon China; and prestigious critic, TV personality and renowned columnist Michael Musto.

There will also be special appearances by comedian Robbyne Kaamil, rock designer Stevie Boi, author Samara Rivera and who knows who else!

If that is not enough, wait till you see the hot bartenders (Dave, Mark and Bryyan). Boxers Chelsea’s Twink Pizza, which serves two to three and starts at $7, along with delicious wings and hot dogs, will also be on offer. Come early for the daily happy hour from 4-9 p.m. and drink specials thereafter, and be sure to watch for giveaways from Coors Light and Miller Lite throughout the two-hour event, 8-10 p.m. sharp.

The evening brings many surprises with it each and every year, so you never know what else is in store!
