S Prime Steakhouse, located minutes from midtown Manhattan in Long Island City, combines a modern look with traditional fine-dining service to create a unique culinary experience. In a chic, two-story restaurant, which features plush leather chairs and booths, patrons can sink their teeth into a 60-day, dry-aged ribeye, S Prime’s signature steak, or enjoy an enormous 48-ounce porterhouse steak for two.

The meat is sourced from Creekstone Farms by high-end purveyor Pat LaFrieda Wholesale. All steaks are aged in a custom-built dry aging room lined with Himalayan rock salt that helps condition the air and season the meat. S Prime also has a raw bar offering oysters from the East and West coasts, lobster cocktail and a fish selection that includes organic Scottish salmon.

Executive Chef Joel Reiss, a gastronomical visionary in his own right, brings with him more than 25 years of experience working beside some of the best chefs and restaurateurs in the world, including well-known names like David Burke and Terrance Brennan. “Except for the bread, everything is made in house from scratch,” says Reiss, who grew up in the Bayside-Whitestone area and has been cooking since he was 15.

No expense has been spared to procure varietals from some of the finest vineyards in the world. A custom-designed, one-of-a-kind glass cellar offers something for every taste with wines from the best winemaking regions in the world, including Bordeaux and the Rhone Valley, the slopes of the Andes, northern California and the hills of Tuscany. S Prime also boasts two bars and three private, soundproof dining rooms.
