Ryan Rose

Appearing for Adonis Lounge at Faitytale Lounge – July 2, 2016

Falcon Studio film star, Andrew Christian model and dancer Ryan Rose is heading for New York and will be making an appearance at Adonis Lounge on July 2, and will be stopping by Fire Island as well. Adonis Lounge, located at 500 West 48th Street, is known for having some of the sexiest men alive grace their stage, and Rose is no exception.

Since 2011, the salacious  Rose has been working as an adult film star, both behind and in front of the scenes. Get Out! was fortunate to be able to have a conversation with Rose. He was very sweet and informative, not to mention being incredibly handsome.

So how long will you be in New York for?
July 2, 3, 4 and 5. The 4th and 5th I’ll be on Fire Island, at the Pines. I’m hosting one of the parties over there. It should be fun. I’m going to be at Adonis on the 2nd, and I’ll be hosting another party in collaboration with Adonis.

How did you become a porn star?
A long time ago I was a project manager for a construction company. Basically overnight the construction company closed their doors and filed bankruptcy. It was on a Thursday evening, so Friday morning everybody showed up for work, and it was all boarded up and locked up. I kind of panicked, and listed some things online. It turned into a request for more pictures and my personal information, and my former manager. That’s really how it all started.

Do you love going to work every day?
It’s just like any other job. It has its ups and its downs. Sometimes you don’t feel like being naked and getting sweaty, but you gotta make that money.

I think you have the best job in the world. You get to have sex, and you get paid for it.
Oh, I’m not saying it’s not. You’re with the hottest men in the world. Yeah, OK, twist my arm. But just like anything else, it’s got its ups and downs.

What do you like best about it?
With the present company I’m with, it seems like we’re always filming. For that specific label, most of our shoots are done on location. We just finished one in Joshua Tree. We filmed in Arizona, we filmed in Tahoe, we filmed in Madrid. There’s talks of us going to Mexico this year. It’s the unspoken perks in the industry.

What happens if you’re not crazy about your co-star, or someone that makes you nervous?
I’ve been doing it for a while, so I’m not really nervous anymore. When I first started out I was petrified, but now it’s just another day in the office. There are some people that you don’t like. It’s a small community. I’ll probably do it. I’m known as one of the easier people to work with. I’ve dealt with a lot of egos.

Are you ever concerned about your health?
My studio only practices safe sex, with condoms of course. Beyond that, I’m not 18 or 21 years old. I make smart decisions. I’m on PrEP. I frequently get tested.

Do you model as well?
Oh yeah, definitely. I’m an Andrew Christian underwear model.

What do you like to do in your free time?
I’m a gym rat. When I lived in Florida, I was a beach bum, anything to do with the beach: jet skiing, volleyball, water skiing. I love to go to the beach. I live in Texas now, so there’s not a beach here. I try to keep busy with work. I just got home last night from L.A. Pride, San Francisco and Portland, Oregon. Now I’m finally home. I really don’t have a lot of time to maintain a hobby.

Do you have a boyfriend?
Yeah, I do, and he’s feeling slightly neglected right now.

How does he feel about your profession?
I was doing this prior to meeting him, so he knew what he was getting into. He’s very open minded, very easy going and secure about himself, so it’s a great situation.

How long do you plan on remaining in your profession?
I actually started Nov. 2, 2011. I was part of the production team behind the cameras as well for about two years. Then Falcon picked me up. They are taking really good care of me. I guess it’s up to the viewers, as long as they wanna see me.

I understand that you are very popular.
For the last two years, at the risk of sounding egotistical, I was voted performer of the year, two tears in a row. It’s about quality, not quantity. I wanna be with somebody I can work with.

What was your most fun filming experience?

There’s so many. Each individual is different. Especially trying to figure each other out.

How long do you get to figure each other out?
It depends. A shoot can go from four hours to two days.

When you film, do you meet the person for the first time, or do you get to have dinner first?
Like I said, it all depends on the shoot and the location. With some of the people you even get opportunities to appear at events with them and host with them at parties. So sometimes you’ve met the person before, and sometimes you walk out to the set, you drop your pants, and it’s the first time you meet.

What happens if you can’t perform?
I never had that issue.

Is there anything else that you’d like to say to your fans or promote for yourself?
Thank you for your support, thank you for the interview. I really appreciate it. And thank you to Tim and everybody at Adonis.
