Rebecca Jade

“Weather the Storm”

“Weather the Storm”, the new single by  R&B songstress Rebecca Jade, comes with one of the most well done and sophisticated videos that I have ever seen. The song itself is reminiscent of something Megan Trainer might put out, and is sure to be a definite hit.

Rebecca has been exposed to music all of her life. Her mom was a jazz singer in Puerto Rico, and Rebecca has over 24 years of recording studio experience herself. She has worked with, and still is on an on going project with Kevin Flounoy, pianist for Chaka Kahn, and Kevin Dorsey, the former musical director for Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston. It had been said that her voice and style is that of a chameleon, and that her emotion when singing is felt and actually transcended on to her audience.

Jade is also an actress and model, and has been in a number of commercials. She has performed in LA, throughout the country and internationally.

The video of ” Weather The Storm , tells a story. It appears as if it was made in the 1950’s, with monochromatic colors, an old airplane and Rebecca herself dressed in 1950’s style dress. For a moment I felt as though i were watching the movie Pearl Harbor minus the war. The song itself is incredible, sensuous, and melodic, leaving one with the desire for more. Her voice is strong and beautiful, and she can change genres in a heartbeat.

Luckily in April of 2016, Rebecca Jade will be releasing her new CD, “Shade of Jade”. You can listen to “Weather the Storm” on YouTube.
