The first Queens Pride March was in 1993. It’s the second largest Pride celebration in NYC, with more than 40,000 spectators!
With a jubilant parade, four blocks of party area, six bars and two stages, Queens Pride kicked off WorldPride with a bang.
Dominique Jackson (“Pose” on FX) introduced this year’s Queens Pride headliner, Kristine W, who has had 17 #1 dance songs and an
endless catalog of hits. Kristine W gave the crowd everything they wanted while they danced in the streets during a passing rainstorm, performing with her two backup dancers and a guitar.

On the other stage, DJ Eddie Cruz once again kept the stage alive with one hit song after another, and with too many performers to note. (Next year, you have to go see how amazing this day is!) The Club Evolution stage was hosted by Laritza DuMont and Lorena Saint Cartier, who shared the stage with iconic drag queens Laura Martinez, Victoria Chase, Vickiana & Tiffney LeClerk Herr, just to name a few.

The outdoor festival lasted until 6 p.m., but everyone kept the party going at Queens gay bars like Club Evolution, Friend’s Tavern, Hombres, True Colors, Music Box and Alejandro’s Bar.

The people came to Queens, and Queens Pride came through for WorldPride. Check out our photos from the celebration!
