Mandy Lee on vocals, Etienne Bowler on drums and Will Hehir on bass make up “Misterwives,” who began making music in late 2012. They have released their debut EP titled “Reflections.”
Born and raised in Queens, Mandy Lee, the vocalist with a unique and different sound, studied songwriting and opera at NYC’s High School for Performing Arts. The other two, also from New York, shared a mutual love for music with Lee, and they began creating music together.
The group has an unusual sound, very different from others heard today. “Reflections” is an enormous song, as well as the other tracks on the EP. The video that goes with it is also memorable and fun.
The other songs on the EP include “Coffins,” “Kings and Queens,” “Twisted Tongue” and “Vagabond,” which was made the opening theme of “Finding Carter,” one of MTV’s teen dramas. MTV buzzworthy has called the band “the next golden children of pop!” They have also performed on ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” and VH1’s “Big Morning Buzz.”
If you are seeking something different to dance to or to listen to, definitely check out Misterwives’ “Reflections.” The EP has power and deepness not often found in today’s music.
