Singer/songwriter Lydia Rhodes first gained international notoriety with her string of essential club anthems throughout the ‘90s and early ‘00s, which became synonymous with Junior Vasquez and his massively successful reigns at Sound Factory, “Juniorverse” (Twilo) and “Arena” (Palladium).
Tracks like “DJ, Give Me That Funky Bass” (MCA), “Live It Cool (Just Do It)” (Pagoda/MCA), “Away” (Ultra), “Dreams” (Bristol Music/Strictly Rhythm) and “Until The Moment” (Liquid Groove) became definitive staples in his sets and packed dance floors worldwide with their driving grooves, infectious melodies and Rhodes’ silky,
commanding vocals.

In 2003, she would collaborate with Ananda Project (the brainchild of Atlanta-based deep house/electronic music prodigy Chris Brann) on the hauntingly soulful “Suite Dreams” from the group’s critically acclaimed sophomore album “Morning Light” (and its remix companion “Relight”) issued on King Street/Sony Japan.

Since then, the dulcet-toned vocalist has teamed up with New York-based imprint KID Recordings to embark on an exciting new chapter in her continually evolving
career. Collaborating with an impressive collective of producers like house music pioneer Eric Kupper, Tommy Bones, Tedd Patterson, Nef Nunez, Danish electronic
music composer/producer and “chill-out” master Ganga, Sted-E & Hybrid Heights, German tech-house wunderkind Terry Lee Brown Jr. and Mood II Swing’s Lem
Springsteen, Rhodes has released several futureclassic hits including “Half Moon,” “What I Feel” and the forthcoming sultry, minimal Afro-tech workout “Ready For
Your Love.” Her long-awaited EP, “The Mechanics Of Lydia Rhodes,” is scheduled for release this fall.
