Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, Joshua Robert MacLean began figure skating at the age of seven. He continued to compete for 12 years throughout the province of Ontario. After graduating from Eastwood Collegiate for the Performing Arts, with majors in Dance, Drama and Visual Art, he joined Celebrity Cruise Lines to perform on their luxury cruise liners.
Joshua completed five contracts with both Celebrity Cruises and Royal Caribbean, where he was promoted to dance captain. Between cruise ship contracts he competed on “So You Think You Can Dance Canada,” where he was one of the top 100 finalists.
He also has worked with reputable stylists and designed sunglasses for singer Rihanna, which were featured in the “Run This Town” music video with Kanye West and Jay-Z. He has choreographed for singer Amber Long and been featured in a music video for Middle Eastern artist Ghazal. Joshua finally made the move to Los Angeles in 2011, where he continues to live his dream as a singer, dancer and actor. Since arriving in L.A. he has been signed with MSA, and now works for Stiletto Entertainment as a show director.
It has always been a dream of Joshua’s to work in the music industry as a singer and a dancer. In the last year he has actively been pursuing his dream and is making his mark on the music scene. He has performed in West Hollywood at the very popular “Micky’s” and is currently embarking on a North American tour. Later this year Joshua will be visiting China with his popular stage show. He is currently writing and recording his debut album, which is due out early 2014.
