Dionne Warwick Celebrates 85 Years

A Legendary Night for a Legendary Voice
Dionne Warwick’s 85th birthday was not simply a celebration of another year—it was a tribute to a lifetime of musical excellence, grace and cultural impact. Born on December 12, 1940, Warwick has given the world one of the most elegant and enduring voices in popular music, and her birthday gathering in December 2025 reflected the stature of an artist whose influence spans generations.

The celebration brought together friends, industry insiders, and longtime admirers, including Mike Todd, Publisher of Get Out Magazine, who was in attendance to honor the iconic singer. The atmosphere was warm, reverent, and joyful–an intimate yet star-studded affair befitting a woman whose career has shaped the soundtrack of countless lives.

One of the most talked-about moments of the evening came during a birthday speech in which it was revealed that Warwick is planning a new album titled “DWuets”, expected for release in 2026. The announcement was met with excitement and admiration, especially as Warwick has indicated this may be her final album—a poignant milestone in an extraordinary career.

The project will feature songs written by legendary songwriter Diane Warren, with anticipated collaborations from a diverse and impressive group of artists, including Saweetie, who was in attendance, and Mya, John Legend and many others. The album continues a creative partnership between Warwick and Warren that spans decades. Warren previously wrote “Much Too Much” for Warwick’s 1993 album Friends Can Be Lovers, and more recently penned “Free,” released by Warwick in October 2022 in support of global refugee initiatives.

As guests mingled and shared stories, the evening felt less like a party and more like a living history lesson—one filled with laughter, reverence and deep appreciation for a woman whose voice has transcended eras, genres and generations. Mike Todd’s presence underscored the significance of the night, capturing a moment when legacy, celebration and future artistry beautifully intersected.

Dionne spoke to the gathering, saying that when she woke up and thought of 85, she then repeated that 85 is a big number! Dionne Warwick continues to look forward while standing firmly in her legacy, and it just so happens that she was walking again after a month long recovery from a foot operation.

If the whispers from her birthday celebration are any indication, DWuets will be a fitting and powerful chapter—perhaps a final one—in a career that has already given the world so much.

Keep your ears open in 2026.
