Chrystyna Marie “Loaded Gun” Review

Canadian born artist, singer, songwriter, actress, is scheduled to release her new EP, in February 29th of 2016, entitled “Loaded Gun”.  a unique and atypical sound that draws you in and quickly becomes exceptionally addicting.

The lead single which is “Loaded Gun”, begins with an intriguing and haunting introduction, somewhat reminiscent of the song set to introduce the Vampire HBO series “True Blood”, (Bad Things by Jace Everett). The composition is sexy, salacious, inundated with emotion. and laced with adult contemporary hooks that makes the song easy to listen to, and contagiously compelling.

But the music doesn’t stop with the single. It goes on to present three more powerful songs: “Down The Road”, “No More”, and “The Tower”, all just as captivating, and performed with her robust, dynamic voice. The melodies are somewhat bluesy, mixed with pop,and even contain a bit of rock n’ roll.

In Toronto Chrystyna was classically trained, and sung on demo labels since the age of 18. She also performed in theater, taking the lead roles in West Side Story and Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, however writing and releasing her own music is where her passion lies. She is inspired by artists such as Janis Joplin, Ottis Redding, Etta James, Selena and Christina Aguilera.

Chrystyna says about her music, “Breath is life, and life is music. I wanted to create music from personal experiences and true emotions. Something the everyday person can relate to and build strength from having been exposed to it. With a raw and gritty feel to emulate these experiences and emotions”.

Stay tuned and watch for Chrystyna Marie’s music. In the meantime enjoy her single “Loaded Gun”
