Burning Love
Kory Burns Comes Out as Bisexual with Bold New Single “All Night Long”
In a bold and heartfelt move, rising pop-R&B star Kory Burns is stepping into a new chapter of his life and career with the release of his latest single, “All Night Long.” Not only is the track his most daring and authentic release to date, it also marks a personal milestone: Burns is publicly coming out as bisexual.
The song, which celebrates freedom, sensuality, and fearless love, emerged from a deeply personal evolution. Collaborating with longtime friends and musical partners Tauren Stovall and Sean McMillion, Burns found himself returning to his roots to create something profoundly real. The trio first met through the late soul legend Betty Wright’s elite training program, The M.O.S.T. (Mountain of Songs Today Equals a Mountain of Stars Tomorrow). That early bond provided the perfect foundation for this moment of artistic and personal honesty.
“Sean’s worked on most of my projects from the very beginning,” Burns shares. “Tauren has been a part of my music circle since the start. He’s even in my very first music video ‘Count The Ways.’ So to include him on this song—it was a full-circle moment.”

The timing of Burns’ coming out was driven by a desire to be completely himself in his music. “I’m just bored with everything I’m hearing in music,” he says. “God gave me the gift of music and storytelling, so I’m going to use it to my advantage. It also seems like more and more people are coming out as bisexual and I love it. Bisexuality is real.”
Burns has long championed inclusivity through his use of gender-neutral language in his lyrics, a choice that resonated deeply with fans living “between the labels.” With “All Night Long,” he takes that commitment even further—embracing both masculine and feminine pronouns to reflect the fullness of his identity.
“I always used gender-neutral language because I wanted everybody to be included and music is universal,” Burns explains. “Now with me singing girl and boy—I’ve done it again. I feel like I cracked the code to be able to include everyone once again, and I’m so happy about that.”
That sense of joy is hard-won. Burns has faced his share of challenges in recent years, including two serious car accidents, surgical procedures, and extensive physical therapy. His previous EP faded into the background during this difficult period, but he vowed that his next time in the studio would be different. The result is a track that defies expectations and speaks directly to those navigating their own truths.
“I was definitely a little nervous bringing the idea to the table,” he recalls. “But when I did, Sean and Tauren didn’t even blink. They jumped right on board with it. I was shocked. I was like… oh ok. I’m really doing this.”
Recorded at the legendary Criteria Studios in Miami—where musical giants have made history—”All Night Long” pulses with liberation. It’s a sonic declaration of independence and a vibrant celebration of authenticity.
Burns describes his current artistic identity as that of a “bold pop R&B artist who shows sensuality, vulnerability and empowerment.” He hopes this new chapter resonates with fans, particularly those in the LGBTQ+ community who may still be wrestling with questions about their own identity.
“You don’t have to pick,” he says. “Love what and who makes you happy. For my music, it’s opened so many more doors. I can now sing twice as much if not more. I can include everyone once again in my music and I’m here for that.”

His message to those questioning their sexuality is one of radical self-love and courage: “Try anything that you feel might make you happy. Don’t worry about criticism or judgment. Live the life you want to live. Live for yourself, not for others.”
As for what’s next, Burns is ready to bring his message—and his music—to stages across the country. “I pray I get to perform at any and every stage that will have me. So that’s all up to the fans. Just say the word and I’ll be there.”
With “All Night Long,” Kory Burns isn’t just giving listeners a new anthem; he’s giving them permission to be themselves. In a world that often demands definition, Burns is embracing fluidity—and inviting us all to dance in the space between.
