Bunny’s Baaaaaack!

Lady Bunny returns to Stonewall Inn every Tuesday in May for a revamped version of Trans-Jester, her raucous stage act she premiered last spring.  This year’s show promises to be even more rowdy with new gags, including a witheringly funny and timely parody of Beauty And The Beast and Bunny’s unique thoughts on Caitlyn Jenner.

With glitzy outfits, sky-high wigs and false eyelashes long enough to embarrass Tammy Faye Baker, Lady Bunny would turn heads even if looking glamorous was her only talent. But she’s way more than a man in a dress: Bunny is a world-renowned comedienne, DJ, actress, and singer-songwriter.

Time Out Magazine named Bunny the #1 drag queen in 2014. The New York Daily News listed her among their most stylish New Yorkers and V magazine included her as one of their notable New Yorkers.

In Trans-Jester, Bunny delivers plenty of side-splitting Laugh-In style zingers.  She feeds political-correctness to the birds,  framing all of her jokes in the context of “What can we still laugh at?”  Says Bunny, “We’re so politically correct that we’ve made Dick Van Dyke change his name to Penis Van Lesbian.”

Be warned:  Trans-Jester is bawdy, so if raunch is not your cup of tea, skip this show. Otherwise, prepare to grab a drink and laugh, cheer and possibly even be challenged by a salty old kook who isn’t afraid to express herself from a viewpoint that is often unique.

Tickets are available online or by calling 212-488-2705.
