Boxers Bars: A Gay Sports Bar For Everyone!

The concept of a gay sports bar might come as a surprise, but take a moment to think about it, and it begins to make perfect sense: a chill, relaxed setting where everyone can come together, whether male, female, gay, straight, black, white, Asian or Latino, and share a good time.

Boxers Bars has become a destination since opening its flagship location five years ago in Chelsea on 37 W. 20th St. They have expanded to Hell’s Kitchen on 742 W. 50th St., Philadelphia on 1330 Walnut St. and established its Equality Corporate/Event Space Shadow Boxers in Times Square at 215 W. 40th St. The brand has found its place as America’s premiere gay sports bar.

It has become the go-to institution to watch your favorite sporting events, music videos or enjoy the sweet eye-candy behind the bar. There is really no other place like it in Manhattan! From the moment you walk in, you are always guaranteed a hot mix of sexiness and a good time.

Enjoy watching the shirtless jocks do pull-up competitions at Boxers Chelsea, or take in the sun at Boxers Hell’s Kitchen Rooftop, while you benefit from the best Monday through Friday two-for-one NYC happy hour specials out there! Your eyes and palate will never be disappointed. And if that isn’t enough to spark your interest, the two-for-one drink cards are interchangeable at all NYC locations!

It is officially summer, and that means Boxers HK Rooftop is also now open! As a New Yorker, you know there’s nothing better than enjoying brunch on a beautiful sunny rooftop.  Indulge in stuffed French toast with strawberry cream filling or savor the California benedict with smoked salmon. Don’t forget about their unlimited two-hour all-you-can-drink mimosas, Bloody Marys and bellinis. With so many options, you can’t go wrong. Oh, and did we forget to mention, brunch is served by the hunky signature Boxers Bars waiters!

Boxers Bars brand also represents NYC Pride at its best! It has distinguished itself as such by opening an Equality Bar and offering nightlife options to the underserved gay Latino and black communities. The popular weekly Café Con Crema at Shadow Boxers on Saturdays by Latino promoter Manny Fierro is a great example. Additionally, promoters Sean & John’s First and Third Fridays, also at Shadow, have added spice to the scene. Boxers Bars is proud to say they welcome and serve everyone from all communities!

“It’s been a great opportunity to partner with such amazing promoters in NYC and be able to offer something for everyone,” says George Maestre, director of Marketing and Nightlife for the Boxers Bars Group. “From partnering with the always fun Matinee boys or hosting the Cafe Con Crema party to bringing the Habibi festivities to our venues, we always look to offer something new for every segment of the gay NYC population and make everyone feel that they have a place to call home at  Boxers Bars.”

Once again, Pride week is amongst us. As we celebrate the struggles we have overcome and remind ourselves of the battles we still have yet to win for full equality, let’s unite and celebrate the diversity in the gay community and have a drink to equality at Boxers. Also make sure to check out the Boxers Bars float in the parade this year. Wave hi to the Boxers boys and celebrate with pride!
