It would seem a logical and dazzling consequence that “a queen for the people,” one with a majestic heart and an abundance of comical talent, would contrive the ultimate means to help the community. Bob the Drag Queen, currently making her sparkling presence known as a contestant on Logo’s “RuPaul’s Drag Race” season 8, is determined to raise $100,000 in one year for various charities through a national, and perhaps international, Charity 4 the People Tour.

The Charity 4 the People Tour will consist of a benefit showcase in different venues throughout the nation, with all proceeds from each performance being donated to a different charity. The very first gala event is to take place next Tuesday, March 22, at Industry Bar, followed by a second event on March 31 at XES Lounge, both in New York City. Besides Bob’s charity phenomenon on March 31, it will also be the farewell celebration of XES, as they will be closing their doors.

The remaining venues selected for the benefit tour will be chosen in the most ingenious and inventive fashion. Each establishment wishing to have the honor of hosting a segment for the Charity 4 the People Tour will have the opportunity to bid for the spot. And may the lucky bar, nightclub or venue win. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the winning bids will go to the designated charity for that particular show.

Aside from the tour, Bob the Drag Queen, along with her adorable assistant Luis, will also be thinking of various creative endeavors to raise money. The first has already started with the auction of Bob’s “Gone With the Wind” runway dress worn on the show. The proceeds of the sale will go to Cyndi Lauper’s “True Colors Fund,” a compassionate organization supporting LGBT homeless youth.  However, the dress is just the beginning; there will be many other items, and many different projects, in order to raise money for the people.
