The very thought of a book signing and discussion, usually connotes an intellectual, no thrills evening to me. Since knowing Josh and reading “Porn Again”, I was sure the event would not be dull….HOWEVER, I certainly did not expect the affair to become a phenomenon, similar to seeing a rock star.
The generous area supplied by the well known book store climaxed at it’s capacity with every type and kind of person known to man. Those who weren’t familiar with Josh’s book, or who didn’t know him were pleasantly enchanted by his humor and his special demeanor.
The book itself, a story of a coming of age, a coming out and in some parts just cumming, encompasses everything you would want in a reading including, sensitivity, truth, fame, gossip , lust, promise, and most importantly humor.The group traveling with me were flawed by his comedic ability, and fell instantly in love with his candor and sensibility.
To me the experience was as good if not better than Billy Idol’s book signing last October. Josh answered questions without hesitation, signed autographs, and conducted a live, in person meet and greet to anyone who desired.
Josh will make an appearance this SUNDAY, JUNE 28th at THE GET OUT MAGAZINE BOOTH C-13 at Hudson Street between Horatio and Jane. He will sign autographs, and speak to anyone who wishes to see him.
