Gorgon City – Get Out! Magazine – NYC’s Gay Magazine

Gorgon City

An Electronic music production duo, Gorgon City hails from England and consists of Kyle Gibbon and Matt Robson-Scott. On October 7, their long-awaited debut album will be released and is called “Sirens.” The album consists of 17 tracks focusing upon the duo’s amazing electronic dance production techniques, featuring such artists as Jennifer Hudson and Katy B.

The songs, all unique, provide for you an addicting journey of seductive sound and rhythm. My own personal favorite is the track “Go All Night,” featuring Jennifer Hudson and co-written by “Kiesza.” It’s an upbeat tune that try as you might, you just can’t get it out of your head. This album is a wonderful venue to listen to while sipping wine and having sex.

Gorgon City will be embarking on a 14-date tour of North America this October, so watch out for them!

Paloma Faith

The soulful, spirited and vivacious songstress Paloma Faith takes “passionate” to another level with her newest album release, “A Perfect Contradiction.” Many say that her dynamic voice is reminiscent of Adele and Amy Winehouse. All true! However, one needs to add Aretha Franklin and Janis Joplin to the mix as well, making the combination of all. One of the most unique and self-assured voices out there today!

Proclaimed the “Best UK Solo Artist” at the 2014 Glamour Awards and having released two double platinum albums in the UK titled “Do You Want the Truth or Something Beautiful” and “Fall to Grace,” Paloma Faith is no stranger to amazing. In May of 2012, Paloma recorded a video for the “Out 4 Marriage” campaign, a group supporting the legislation of same-sex marriages in England and Wales. She stated that she was “proud to be backing the campaign.”

“A Perfect Contradiction” boasts collaborations with Pharrell Williams, John Legend and Raphael Saadiq. The album takes you on a journey of eras gone by, touched by a hint of the ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s without sacrificing today’s dance and sound. Her single “Only Love Can Hurt Like This,” is one of those songs you just can’t listen to enough. Hours later you are still singing it in your mind, while at the same time you are still dancing to the sexy, upbeat track, “I Can’t Rely On You.”

“Trouble With My Baby,” “Taste My Own Tears,” “The Bigger You Love, The Harder You Fall” and “Mouth to Mouth” are all performed with the sense of  “I Really Mean It” from deep within the artist’s heart. Each track on the album has a strong potential and distinct possibility of emerging a hit. Every song on “A Perfect Contradiction” is FUN!

Currently, Miss Faith is touring the U.S., entertaining audiences with songs from the album as well as mixed genre of pop, soul, rock and jazz.

Although her adorable, spunky appearance seems touched by a sense of innocence, don’t feel betrayed by that innocence when you listen to her powerful, seductive, yet funky huge voice explode with a volatile sound that you will never want to forget. I haven’t been this excited by a female artist in a very long time!

HUSTLE THE MUSCLE

Fitness Trainer-Turned-Rentboy Muscles In On Hustlaball!

Get ready for a hedonistic night of decadence.  Hustlaball, the infamous sex cabaret and mega dance party, returns to NYC this Columbus Day weekend at Club Slake (251 W 30th).  Some of the biggest names in porn and dance will be there, including Tommy Defendi, Boomer Banks, Brent Corrigan, Nick Capra and Rentboy’s newest sensation, 24-year-old Killian James.
The former fitness trainer-turned-escort-turned-Randy Blue model won “Best Bottom” at Rentboy.com’s recent 2014 International Escorts Awards. At Hustaball, he intends to show us why he won in a performance we won’t soon forget.

This will be your first Hustlaball!
My Hustlaball christening, as I like to call it.

Can you give us a hint at what you will be performing?
It’s top secret! All I can say is Rentboy is putting something awesome together. Some flipping may be involved.

Are you offended by the word “hustler”?
I think it’s only offensive to an escort if deep down, that’s how they view themselves, as a hustler with a derogatory connotation. I view myself as an escort, someone that provides companionship, so it doesn’t bother me. I often use the word in the context of,  “Hey, he works hard, he knows how to hustle.”

After all, we’re all hustlers, out there trying to make a buck to get ahead.
Of course. As Rentboys, we provide companionship that hopefully leaves our clients smiling. Now what can be more honest than that?

What got you into the biz?
After a breakup with my former employer, I wanted to dictate my own life and create a schedule that worked for me.

Most guys go into hustling after dabbling in porn.  Why did you choose the opposite route?
I don’t know anyone who makes a decent living doing porn, so I didn’t want to rely on that income solely. I do porn now because it’s fun and I’m getting to go places and meet people I would not have had the chance to otherwise.

Where do you hope it leads?
I’m trying to figure that out right now. I have a few ideas brewing. The great thing about being in this industry is that we have a lot of time to figure out what we love and how to turn that love into something bigger than just a hobby.

Would you get involved with another hustler?
I’m actually involved with someone right now who works just as hard as I do.

Would you get involved with a fan?
Sexually, possibly, but emotionally, probably not. They would meet me and have feelings for Killian James, not the man my family and close friends know.

How deliciously bad do you intend to get at Hustlaball?
Killian James holds nothing back. It’s going to be a wild night!

EXHIBITION: MALEXPOSURE Roberto Araujo Photography @ G Lounge

October 7 – October 9, 2014

Opening: Tuesday, October 7 6pm to 9pm

G Lounge is pleased to present MALEXPOSURE, a solo exhibition of work by Roberto Araujo.

Please join us on Tuesday, October 7, from 6-9pm, for the exhibition opening and to meet the artist.

In his first public exhibition, Araujo presents a series of photographs that let us view the male figure through his eyes. The exhibit features 20 personally selected images of the artist’s work. Beautiful Magazine has called his work “Sexy, playful and bright” and praises Araujo’s ability to portray his models as they truly are.

“When I take a picture, I try to capture not only the image, the light and the movement, but also what goes on behind the eyes of my models. There’s more to a picture than just the composition. What the models bring to the process is the essence of the image; I cannot create it without them. It exposes them and a little bit of who they are.”

“It all starts with images in my head. I am highly influenced by film and theatre. I like telling stories and that’s what I try to bring into my photography.”

“My creative process starts with the model. My photography has a style, but I want it to be about the model. I want to showcase him in the best light.”

Roberto Araujo is a Mexican photographer based in New York City. He regularly contributes with publications in New York City and Paris. For more on the artist’s work visit:
