The Magical Queendom: Drag Stars Present DISTORTED DIZNEE

The Laurie Beechman Theater becomes The Happiest (and Gayest) Place on Earth as Dallas Dubois presents DISTORTED DIZNEE featuring drag stars Holly Dae, Bootsie LeFaris, Pixie Aventura, Shenea DeDranke and others.

Dallas DuBois invites you to “Be Our Guest” as she hosts DISTORTED DIZNEE, an outrageous Las Vegas-style take on some of the most beloved animated classics. Come be “Part of Our World” as DuBois and a troupe of fabulous drag queens take you on a twisted — and very adult — journey, catapulting you back to your childhood into a Magical Kingdom where dreams come true.

This 70-minute extravaganza features high-energy dance numbers, comedy, dazzling costumes and lip-syncing “ladies” — with a bit of Cher, Patti LuPone, Idina Menzel and Christina Aguilera thrown in for good measure! This show may not be a “Tale As Old As Time,” but it’s certain to offer a happy ending — if you believe in fairies, that is.

DALLAS DUBOIS is a trained musical theater actor whose credits have included film, television and Off-Broadway productions. As a nightlife entertainer, Dallas performs regularly at local venues including Barracuda, Industry, The Ritz, Bar-Tini, Boots and Saddle, Evolve and the legendary Stonewall Inn. She was selected as Next Magazine’s Who’s Next 2010, nominated for a Glammy Award, was Miss Grove Hotel and won Miss Fire Island Contest’s Most Popular 2009. She is also a member of the drag theater company Shim Mamsir.

DISTORTED DIZNEE runs through September 7 at The Laurie Beechman Theater, located inside West Bank Cafe at 407 West 42nd Street at Ninth Ave. Tickets are $15 (plus a $15 food/drink minimum). To purchase tickets, call 212-352-3101 or visit SpinCycleNYC.com
