The 1st Annual Miss Get Out! Magazine Pageant + PHOTOS

A Night oF Glitter, Glamour & Good Energy

Congratulations to the winners of The 1st Annual Miss Get Out! Pageant: Miss Newcomer, London Jae; Celebrity Look ALike, Kashi Golean; Entertainer, Akasha Love; and Miss Get Out!, LEONTYNE RICE!

The energy was dazzling, the attitude sparkling, the excitement fierce and the talent dramatic, as the fabulous Fire Island duo, Ariel Sinclair and Logan Hardcore, did an overwhelmingly superb job hosting the show! With the supreme help of the beautiful Coco D’Ball, the evening proceeded without a hitch.

The most enchanting and miraculous judges headlined the showcase, beginning with the award-winning nightlife writer and panelist of Logo’s “Cocktails and Classics,” Michael Musto, who couldn’t be a more worthy and experienced judge of drag. He was joined by the original cowboy from The Village People, the sexy Mr. “YMCA” himself, Randy Jones. Beautiful “RuPaul’s Drag Race” finalist Phi Phi O’Hara, vivacious “RuPaul’s” contestant Jiggly Caliente, fierce cabaret and drag performer MargOH! Channing, writer and nightlife personality Frankie C, singer extraordinaire Lovari and owner of Boots and Saddle drag bar Robert Ziegler rounded out the judges.

The very best in nightlife celebrity entertainment graced the stage, including Peppermint, Sherry Vine, Harmonica Sunbeam and Aaron Paul, plus surprise performances by Sir Honey Davenport, Coco D’Ball and the hot Chulo underwear boys … still getting over that one! The general feeling of joy in the venue (our thanks to The Monster and their welcoming staff!) continued as the winners were crowned by Mr. Gay New York, Wilhem Sulay.

On behalf of the Get Out! staff – Mike, Carlos, Christo and myself – we thank all involved, all the magnificent photographers and all contestants who helped make this event one of the best.
