Pride& LOVE

Pride and Love has rocked the rooftop of the Midtown Loft for the past six years during the New York City Gay Pride Parade. On Sunday, June 29, Pride and Love will move to world-famous dance club Cielo at 18 Little West 12th St. in the meatpacking district. Michael Hades has joined forces with former NYC Pride Pier Dance director (2008) Vince Nelson. Promoters Sasha Seven, Antonio Cedeno, King Ralphy and Yusef X will bring in a diverse, vibrant crowd that is serious about its music!

Cielo is a state-of-the-art space in downtown’s ultra chic Meatpacking District that provides a music program specializing in electronic music. It is a haven for mature
individuals seeking intelligent nightlife with neither the hassles of large clubs nor the elitism of upscale lounges with too many VIP rooms. Once you are in Cielo, there will be no more ropes, checkpoints or rules. Security’s goal is to complement the experience, not to hinder it.

Pride and Love has previously attracted a number of high-profile sponsors and celebrities in the past ranging from VH1, Bravo, LOGO and Verizon FiOS. Pride and Love
was also featured on the “Big Pride” episode of “Big Ang.”
This time around, they brought in gay social networking app HORNET and Civic Duty Shoes to really help reinvent the popular event.

The DJ lineup is packed with talent that will keep you dancing and sweating from beginning to end. The opening set will be performed by NYC-based DJ Abe Clements.
Following his talents will be the likes of NYC-based DJ Michael Hades, who is well known with his top-ranking podcast, Global Underworld. Next up on the roster is Phil
Pagan, who has played at major clubs such as Shelter, Palladium, Cielo and Stereo and was also part of a wave of underground tribal parties that captivated audiences in New York City.

The headliner for the event is Angel Moraes, a Brooklynborn DJ, producer and remixer. He earned worldwide recognition for his releases “The Cure” and “Welcome to
the Factory” as well as remixes for Funky Green Dogs, Pet Shop Boys and Jaydee, to name a few. Angel is also an original founder of Stereo Club in Montreal, Quebec.

Hornet is a location-based mobile dating app available on the iPhone, iPad and Android that connects the gay community locally and from around the world.
“At its heart, Hornet is about creating a safe and interactive space for people to connect with one another, says Sean Howell, founder of Hornet.

“These spaces matter for our community.” Download the app now on Apple or Android! With gay social networking app Hornet hitting 3 million users, we know that men
around the world venturing to NYC will be coming to this event. This, mixed with footwear brand Civic Duty, who not only embraces the LGBT community but also markets to them in their selection of bold colors and textures, will surely make this Hornet event one to remember.
