Philip Marie

Here We Are: Nestled in the heart of the West  Village – Come find us!

It’s all-American! Created by John Philip Greco III and Suzanne Marie, Philip Marie serves rustic American cuisine highlighting our strong relationships with local farmers and purveyors. With its heart beating strong since 1998, Philip Marie continues to be a neighborhood gem to the delight of its loyal followers and newly acquainted foodies.  Philip Marie’s warm and professional staff has certainly contributed to the restaurant’s charm and longevity.

“One of the most romantic spots in NYC,” said the New York Times, referring to the private dining options at Philip Marie. The candlelit, romantic dining room for two has been the setting for hundreds of people in love over the past 17 years; engagements, anniversaries, birthdays and of course the “please get me out of the doghouse” dinner for two. The other cozy and charming private dining room (for up to 20) continues to host bridal/baby showers, bachelor/bachelorette parties, rehearsal dinners, family, business and social events and a “meet the family engagement dinner.”  Two unique private dining rooms for this West Village neighborhood to celebrate!

Philip Marie and its ownership (also the proud owners of Posh) have been staunch supporters of the LGBT community for many years with continued support of local LGBT sports sponsorships and community organizations. In the last year, Philip Marie was the site of three international same-sex weddings. Three amazing couples from England, Australia and Trinidad and Tobago created lifelong memories with family and friends in the dining rooms of Philip Marie.

If known for anything, Philip Marie has become synonymous with the “NYC weekend brunch.” People come from all over the city to enjoy the bottomless but time-limited bloody marys/mimosas with any entree for $25.  Everyone has their favorite menu item, and eggs benedict any style seem to be a crowd favorite, but watch out for the croissant French toast- it’s addictive.

Open six days a week serving lunch, brunch and dinner, Philip Marie boasts nightly specials to keep things exciting. On Tuesday, escape to a New England clambake for $19.95 with half a lobster, corn on the cob, baked potato, clams, shrimp and mussels. Wednesday is Mussel Madness, where you can sit back and relax with a craft beer or glass of champagne while enjoying a $10 pot of P.E.I. mussels and fries. Thursday Night Wine Tasting is the bargain of the week: For $27.95, experience a four-course food and wine pairing featuring fresh seasonal delights. Expand your palate and enjoy a new menu every Thursday. Bring the weekend to a relaxing close with Philip Marie’s Sunday Night BBQ (barbecue chicken, triple-cooked ribs or blackened catfish with all the trimmings) for $18.95.

There’s always something fun and tasty going on at Philip Marie, and that, they say, is the secret to
longevity in this town.
