Hombres Lounge was launched July 1, 2010, fulfilling the American Dream of its two owners: longtime friends and bartenders who realized that there was something missing from the gay nightlife in Queens. The two decided to break from the traditional bar and venture in a new direction.

You no longer have to go to Manhattan to experience the best that New York has to offer — people are realizing that going to the airport is not the only reason to make the trip to Queens. Innovative productions, such as The Fashion Show, Mr. Hombres 2010 and Searching for the Next Sexy Boy, are part of the regular agenda at Hombres, which has an amazing staff that has all the class minus the attitude, making everyone feel welcome. Part metropolitan, part neighborhood venue, Hombres doesn’t forget the dark and naughty either.

With cocktails that offer the best bang for the buck, a perfect mixture of elements at Hombres guarantees a great time hanging with the gang, having a drink with that special someone or finding new friends that you haven’t met yet. With its eclectic atmosphere, Hombres is everyone’s guilty pleasure.

Monday is video night with the best of ‘70s, ‘80s, ‘90s and most current music. Tuesday is La Lecheria with DJ Israel Reynoso playing the best house music. Wednesday is Karaoke Night; you don’t have to be the next American Idol to sing your heart out — ain’t nobody judging here. Thursday is hookah night with more than 10 different flavors, along with drink specials throughout the night and DJ JC. Friday and Saturday the house is packed, featuring DJ Eddie Cruz. Sunday has the best rumbas with contests and original parties every week along with DJ Brian. Happy Hour runs Thursday through Sunday from 5 to 10 p.m.
