The 7th Annual Get Out! Magazine Awards proved to be an explosive, enchanting and epic event. Without the support of those who came, entertained and performed, it would not have been possible!
I would like to proudly congratulate the magnificent winners and the deserving recipients of our illustrious awards, given to those special people who support the community in so many different ways, including Sir Ivan, Michael Musto, Sandra Bernhard and drag legend China. I would also like to thank those who came to present these awards.

7 Years of Thank Yous
Get Out! magazine celebrates seven years of business today, and we want to thank New York City and the venue owners who made it possible for Get Out! magazine to get started and grow into what it has become today. We are especially thankful for the early and long-time support of John and Suzanne Greco (Posh, Philip Marie, Bamboo); Eddie Valentin (Club Evolution & Friend’s Tavern); Brian Landeche (Splash); Ancil (East Side Club and West Side Club); Geraldo (Arriba Arriba); and Robert Ziegler (Boots & Saddle), who also is responsible for getting the Get Out! Awards started. I also want to thank Bianca Del Rio for being the hostess of the very first Get Out! Awards seven years ago. Without Bianca, we would not be celebrating Get Out! Awards. Because of the support and good judgement of the aforementioned individuals, we have been able to continue to serve our community throughout the years.
We also thank the rest of the venue owners in NYC for allowing us to become a brand name to serve your clients in your venues. As support by readers and sponsored for the original Gooth Magazine grew throughout NYC, it became quickly apparent that there was a demand to increase our circulation from a once-monthly magazine to a biweekly magazine. From there we grew further to produce weekly issues serving NYC’s nightlife personalities and venues with fresh content week after week.
Get Out! magazine today strives to be the largest distributed gay weekly magazine in NYC/NJ and likely in the USA. It would not have been possible without you, our readers! Thank you again for all your support!
A super huge thank you goes to recording artist Amber, who was our first singer and celebrity to be on the cover with an interview, and to India, Taylor Dayne and Deborah Cox for being featured on the cover and in the magazine, as well as Madonna, Jennifer Hudson, Jody Watley, Annie Lennox, & Cyndi Lauper who was our cover stars more recently. Ladies, thank you for the trust and faith. You can find their amazing music, which we all love so much, on iTunes and other digital downloads.
Thank you again for seven fantastic years from all of us at Gooth Magazine aka Get Out! Magazine.
