Aiden Leslie’s New Year

2013 WAS A BANNER YEAR FOR AIDENLESLIE. HE RELEASED HIS FIRST COLLABORATION WITH THE ALL-DANCE MUSIC LABELD1 MUSIC. HE BECAME AN ACTIVIST,  PARTNERING WITHAMFAR’S GENERATIONCURE IN THEIR PLIGHT TO RAISE AWARENESS AND ACCELERATE THE SEARCH FOR A CURE FORHIV/AIDS. AND HE FOUND LOVE. UNFORTUNATELY,  HE ALSO LOST IT; BUT FROM ITS ASHES ROSELESLIE’S LATEST SINGLE CURRENTLY BLAZING UP DANCE FLOORS, “NOBODYSAID.”

What was your biggest  accomplishment this year?
I’ve been fortunate  this past year, playing huge  cities around the country,  meeting fans and creating new  ones. Keeping a connection  with my fans has always been  important for me.

What was the biggest lesson  learned?
You cannot change anyone or  anything but yourself. It begins  with you. Everything else will  fall into place. It’s a simple  lesson, but when you learn it,  it will ultimately create a new  approach to everything that  you do.

What are you hoping to find  under the christmas tree this  year?
[laughs] Something big and  shiny that doesn’t need  batteries.

Have you been naughty or nice?
In 2013, I wanted to find a  way to give back. I started  working with amfAR’s  generation CURE. I really believe  in the organization and what  they do, so it has felt good to  be involved. It also reminds me  that we need to be good and  compassionate to ourselves,  something a lot of us tend to  forget.  give us one prediction for 2014.

Hillary Clinton will announce  her candidacy for president.  are you open for love in 2014?
Yes, I’m open to love, and I’m  sure it’s coming my way.

What do you hope to achieve  in 2014?
Many things! Right now, I’m  working on a major event  for charity that will be a big  undertaking but incredibly  rewarding. Also, in addition to  my new releases and touring,  I may be making my return  to the theatre, which I’m very  happy about.

Are you making a new Year’s  resolution for 2014?
To be honest with you, I’ve  never been a big believer  in resolutions. I’m a work in  progress, so for me, every day  is a new resolution. But, I’m an  organization freak, so I want  to work on keeping that side  of me in check. Also, I want to  travel more and go to places  I would never have dreamt of  going until now.
